Pitch a Program: FAQs

How many proposals are supported per year?

Approximately 3 per year (this number is subject to change).

When can I submit a proposal?

Anytime. Proposals accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

What do I receive if my proposal is chosen?

The following kinds of support may be available:

  • Free use of Fidget Space (only for public events)

  • Event staff: technical support (lights/sound/etc.)

  • Event staff: house manager

  • Strategy/planning support: 2-3 meetings with Fidget staff via phone/zoom/in person

  • Marketing support: 2 announcements on our mailing list

  • Marketing support: 6 social media posts

  • Contract and invoice templates

How does Fidget decide what proposals get chosen?

Each submitted proposal will be reviewed by a panel composed of Megan Bridge and Peter Price (Fidget’s co-directors), as well as two members of Fidget’s staff/Programming Committee, who will rotate. The proposal will be evaluated by a rubric, followed by a conversation between the panel members. If the proposed work is not chosen to be supported, the applicant will receive feedback.
