One of my longest lasting collaborative relationships has been with performance artist Mauri Walton. The piece I have selected for today’s ‘Music Monday' represents, I think, the oldest documentation of our work together. I improvised on a Roland R8 drum machine being heavily processed by an early digital multi-effects processor (Digitech dsp-128) as Mauri extemporized a text in her inimitable sprechstimme style like some kind of cerebral alien MC.
