<fidget> Co-director, Megan Bridge, will teach a free, week-long workshop at thefidget space towards research and development of <fidget>’s new project, Space Pulse Pattern Presence (working title). The workshop will focus on improvisation, group generation of movement material, and performance presence. Participants should be professional dancers or theater artists with a strong physical practice (classical dance training is a plus). We will work for about 20 hours between November 2-6 (specific schedule to be determined based on participants’ availability). Interested participants should email a resume or bio, and if we haven’t seen your performance work, please also send a clip or a link to video or photos.
Those selected to join the workshop will be invited to perform at a showing at thefidget space on Friday evening, November 6, as part of <fidget>’s 6th Annual Fall Experimental Music Festival.
From this workshop, a group of performers may be selected to continue working (with compensation for rehearsals and performance) on Space Pulse Pattern Presence in Spring and Summer 2016, with a showing in Spring and premiere in September, 2016.
